Escape from Alcatraz! Wish him luck!

Brendan is doing the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon this weekend, which is pretty exciting!

For those of you unfamiliar with it, it's where a bunch of crazy people jump into shark-infested waters, dressed as shark food...i mean, thrashing seals...(they have to wear full body black wetsuits to protect themselves from the freezing San Francisco Bay waters.)

And then they swim to shore, bike the hills of San Francisco, and run up these crazy "sand stairs" which are basically stairs covered in sand...because running stairs aren't difficult enough. To give you an indication of how tough they are, apparently people generally have to pull themselves up with a rope.

Anyway. I'm a spectator, so I'll take lots of pictures. And it's usually on TV a few weeks from now, so watch your local listings...and then watch for Brendan.

Oh...and speaking of being on TV. We still haven't heard about HGTV. But as soon as we know, it's on the blog!

Another Wiley Wedding

Well, it looks like my brother is tying the knot with his girlfriend, Alex!

Of course, in true brotherly fashion he still hasn't called to tell me this yet, but I've decided to spread it around anyway.

December 2nd is the date they've set.

That's a good date. I like it.
